Isabel Schwartzbach is a Danish actress and singer with a crystal clear soprano voice based in Copenhagen and New York.

Born and raised in the small village Jyllinge outside Copenhagen, Denmark, her interest in music and the arts started as a child when listening to her mother playing the piano. Encouraged by family and teachers the newly found fondness of piano music quickly expanded to singing and performing. By the age of 13 she was accepted as a member of the Danish National Girls’ Choir (DR) and the urge to pursue a professional career within the arts was ignited.

Isabel was trained at the Royal Danish Academy of Music majoring in classical voice and had her debut as Maria in West Side Story before graduating. Since then Isabel has sung in some of the most iconic musicals in professional productions in Denmark, e.g. Cosette in Les Misérables alongside former West End-actor Stig Rossen as Jean Valjean, Beauty and the Beast, and understudying and playing the part of Emma in Jekyll and Hyde the Musical at Det Ny Teater, Copenhagen.

Isabel has been cast as the lead role Maria in the first major professional production of West Side Story in Denmark in many years. The production is a collaboration between Aarhus Teater and Aalborg Teater and will be opening in March 2018.

Furthermore active as dubber for e.g. Netflix and Disney in singing and speaking roles.

Currently living in New York City and studying at the prestigious acting school Stella Adler Studio of Acting.
